Teal & Purple Fern . . . Brilliant encaustic colors shine through layers of encaustic wax. Released by a final shellac burn that created molten pools, the earlier layers of pigment, when fired with the torch, rose to the surface. Always a challenge to get a painting like this, the chance of burning and blowing the entire image off the panel is always a breath away! The frame is not included, it is used just as an example. 5”x 7” birch panel, it will display nicely on a simple easel which I will include, free.
